Gallery of Fine Arts Exhibit, November 10 - December 7

The American Cereal Box: Designs for Kids from 1960s-1990s

The public is invited to the Gallery of Fine Arts on the 3rd floor of Cal U's Manderino Library to view the collection cereal boxes and prizes of native SWPA collector, Ross Lloyd. Lloyd’s collection is among the top collections of cereal boxes in the country. It includes many of the prizes found inside the boxes, as well as the "send-away" prizes. It is easy to throw away an empty cereal box, or watch children enjoy playing with the prize until it breaks. This exhibition of more than four decades of cereal boxes and prizes, will make you have second thoughts.

Ross Lloyd will be speaking in the Gallery of Fine Arts, Saturday Nov 12 and Saturday Dec 3, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

The public is also invited to attend the Opening Reception, Thursday Nov 10, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
